In 2020, Classic Drycleaners recognized that many of our non-profit friends were struggling right along with us as well as other small businesses, large businesses, families, etc.  Many non-profit organizations canceled fundraisers and annual events that were crucial to sustaining their missions. We continued to support our non-profits friends with donations of gift baskets, gift cards, and bottled water, but those donations dipped to an all-time low given the canceled and postponed statuses of many events.  Recognizing this hardship in our non-profit community, we decided to support two local non-profit organizations with monetary donations in our customers’ honor (in lieu of holiday gifts).  It was one of the best decisions we made all year.In 2020, we donated $1,000 to Hospice of Central PA and $1,000 to Vickie’s Angel Foundation. In the years to follow, we decided to continue our Holiday Giving tradition.  In 2021, we decided to choose THREE non-profits for our Holiday Giving:  Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry CountiesHope Springs Farm, and Support Our Six Foundation.  In 2022, our Holiday Giving recipients were Children’s Miracle Network HersheyCentral PA Food Bank, and Furry Friends Network.  In 2023 our Holiday Giving recipients were The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Randi’s House of Angels, Veterans Outreach of Central PA, and West Shore Wildlife Center.

This year, we selected SIX local non-profit organizations for our Holiday Giving, totaling $5,000 in donations!  At Classic Drycleaners, we continue to consider ourselves fortunate and honored to support these local non-profit organizations this year with monetary donations.  We encourage you to to learn more about all the organizations listed by visiting their website and/or social media.

The past two years have been, and continue to be, incredibly trying for everyone – individuals, families, large companies, small businesses, educators, non-profit organizations, etc.  Last year, Classic Drycleaners recognized that our non-profit friends were struggling right along with us.  Many organizations canceled fundraisers and annual events that were crucial to sustaining their missions. We continued to support our non-profits friends with donations of gift baskets, gift cards, and bottled water, but those donations dipped to an all-time low given the canceled and postponed statuses of many events.  Recognizing this hardship among our non-profit community, we made the decision to support two local non-profit organizations with monetary donations in our customers’ honor (in lieu of holiday gifts).  It was one of the best decisions we made all year.  This year, we are excited to continue our Holiday Giving tradition by supporting THREE non-profit organizations!  Each organization received a $1,000 donation from Classic Drycleaners and Laundromat in honor of our amazing and loyal customers.

Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties (DVSCP) – DVSCP supports the empowerment of those who are experiencing domestic violence through the provision of direct services and the promotion of nonviolence through social and systems change.  Services at DVSCP include Emergency Shelter, Counseling and Advocacy, Children’s Programs, AMEND Batterers’ Intervention Program, 24 Hotline, Protection from Abuse Orders (PFAs), and Public Education and Outreach.

Hope Springs Farm – The goal at Hope Springs Farm is to provide adults who have developmental and intellectual disabilities a day program to maximize their abilities.  “Growers”, as they are called, take part in various community activities including volunteering in the local community, visiting local museums, swimming, taking field trips, and shopping for the supplies they need to feed their animals and do their crafts.  On the Farm, Growers have a variety of farm chores:  feeding the animals, cleaning up around the barn, planting, and weeding and watering the gardens.  They also learn a variety of independent living skills such as cooking, baking, and shopping.

Support Our Six Foundation – Support Our Six Foundation Inc., is a local Dauphin County 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves the families of Police, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, Corrections, and Military during times of need.  SOS created systems that allow the organization to continue to provide families with food, supplies, and support in the months following a tragedy.

At Classic Drycleaners, we continue to consider ourselves fortunate to be able to support not two but three non-profit organizations this year.  We encourage you to learn more about them by visiting their websites and/or social media.  From everyone at Classic Drycleaners and Laundromats, we wish you a safe, healthy, and peaceful holiday season.
